David Muncy Honored by the Maryland Association for Justice
Plaxen Adler Muncy attorney David Muncy was honored for his service with the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) when he was awarded the Section of the Year award for his leadership of the New Lawyer’s Section. The New Lawyer’s Section strives to engage new lawyers who represent injured persons through educational as well as social events. This year an education breakfast series was put on which featured some of the best lawyers in their practice areas teaching new lawyers about how to perfect their craft. The New Lawyers Section also partnered with MAJ to put on a full day mock trial that featured some of Maryland’s top trial lawyers trying an auto accident jury trial from start to finish. The mock trial was presided over by a Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge and the response from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive.
David was also selected to be a member of the MAJ Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is the governing body for the organization and works to protect the rights of victims of personal injury in Maryland. The volunteers who make up the Board of Governors help run the organization and work to help their members be better advocates for their clients, through education as well as collaboration between members. The Board of Governors also work to educate the judiciary, state legislators, and the public on the importance of protecting the rights of the inured in our civil justice system.
