Diversity

People may be said to resemble not the bricks of which a house is built, but the pieces of a picture puzzle, each differing in shape, but matching the rest, and thus bringing out the picture – Felix Adler

One of the great assets of The American Association for Justice is the strength of our caucuses.  The contributions of the Women’s Trial Lawyer Caucus, the Minority Caucus, the New Lawyer Division and the newly established LGBT Caucus are countless. Our diversity is our strength. Diversity is not just a word or a belief, but has become a principle of how I invest in our future.

The Plaxen Adler Muncy Civil Trial Advocacy Scholarship

In order to help encourage the best and the brightest legal students in the country, Mr. Plaxen founded the Plaxen Adler Muncy Civil Trial Advocacy Scholarship in 2014. The annual Scholarship awards $2500 to a law student who has demonstrated a passion for pursuing a career as a civil trial lawyer, who has a genuine desire to seek justice on behalf of those whose rights have been violated or are in jeopardy, and who expresses serious interest in civil trial advocacy and in seeking just results for the injured. The student must also be committed to promoting diversity and inclusion.
