Lainie Hoffer
Law Clerk
Lainie Hoffer joined Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. in 2024 as a Law Clerk. Prior to joining the firm, Lainie served for eight years as an officer in the United States Air Force, where she served in various roles as a personnel officer. During law school, Lainie interned for the Honorable Jeannie J. Hong in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. During her judicial internship, she assisted with legal research, drafted memoranda and proposed opinions, and observed a wide range of civil and criminal proceedings, experiences that solidified her commitment to becoming a trial attorney.
Lainie graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2015, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in English and competed as a Division I student-athlete on the Women's Swimming and Diving Team. She served as captain of the team from 2013 to 2015, leading her teammates both in competition and in the classroom. Following her military service, she attended American University Washington College of Law, where she graduated cum laude. During law school, Lainie co-founded the American University Plaintiffs' Law Association and served as its Co-President. She also served as Director of Operations for the National Plaintiffs' Law Association, helping connect law students across the country with mentorship and professional development opportunities. In addition, she served as an editor on the nationally ranked Administrative Law Review.
Lainie is awaiting admission to the Maryland Bar following the July 2026 Bar Examination. She is dedicated to representing individuals who have been injured through the negligence of others. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys training for her next triathlon and spending time outside with her family.
