Bruce Plaxen Was Elected to the Executive Committee of the American Association for Justice for the 13th Year
Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. is proud to announce that senior partner Bruce Plaxen has been elected to serve as one of five at-large members of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Executive Committee. This is Mr. Plaxen’s 13th year, and 6th consecutive year, serving on the Executive Committee.
Bruce Plaxen is a dedicated member of AAJ, serving on its Board of Governors for the State of Maryland, and serving on the National Finance and the Organizational Review Committee. As one of the recently elected at-large members of the Executive Board, he will serve as a liaison between the Board and the organization, and help AAJ fulfill its mission: “to promote a fair and effective justice system—and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person who is injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.”
A long history of service, honors, and accolades
Bruce Plaxen was also a recipient of AAJ’s 2019 Above & Beyond Award, which “recognizes AAJ members who have made exceptional contributions to sustain and strengthen the organization.” He is also a three-time winner of the Wiedemann & Wysocki Award (2003, 2010, and 2016) for his outstanding efforts to support AAJ’s political action committee, which is devoted to protecting and upholding the principles of the civil justice system. In 2017, he was honored with the Distinguished Service Award, for his support and assistance to the President of AAJ.
Bruce Plaxen is also an active and committed member of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ), a state trial attorney association that works hand-in-hand with AAJ to promote the same principles. Mr. Plaxen has held almost every office in MAJ, including President, and has chaired almost every committee. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Maryland Association for Justice Political Action Committee, and has served on MAJ’s Board of Governors for 26 consecutive years. He was named MAJ’s Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2008.
