Bruce Plaxen Named One of The Daily Record’s 2023 Icon Honors Honorees

Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. is proud to announce that Bruce M. Plaxen is a 2023 honoree for The Daily Record’s 2023 Icon Honors awards. This year’s awards dinner was held at The Center Club in Baltimore on December 11, 2023.

All honorees for the Icon Honors are selected by The Daily Record. This year’s honorees included local leaders for businesses and non-profit organizations, as well as educators, politicians, and journalists. This annual award was created to “recognize Maryland leaders over the age of 60 for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field.”

Other requirements for eligibility include:

• A long-standing commitment to the Maryland business community.
• A sustained commitment to community service and mentoring.
• Holding, or having held, a senior management-level position with significant authority in decision-making for their organization.

Nominees may be retired or currently working.

About honoree Bruce Plaxen

Bruce M. Plaxen opened his law firm almost 40 years ago. Over the course of four decades, he has helped thousands of people who were injured through no fault of their own. He has tirelessly advocated for legislative changes that protect the injured as well as the civil justice system as a whole. He has mentored countless numbers of young attorneys and held leadership positions in legal organizations such as the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Over the years, Mr. Plaxen has been recognized for this work by MAJ, AAJ, and The Daily Record, among others. Some of those awards include:

• Wiedemann Wysocki Citation of Excellence, presented by AAJ (2020, 2016, 2010, and 2023)

• Trial Lawyer of the Year, presented by MAJ (2009)
