David Muncy Now President of the Maryland Association for Justice
Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. is proud to announce that partner David A. Muncy is officially serving in his capacity as President of the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ) for 2023-2024. The 69th Annual MAJ President’s Dinner was held at Citron in Baltimore to honor outgoing President Emily C. Malarkey as well as Mr. Muncy, who now picks up the mantle.
Founded in 1954, MAJ represents more than 1,200 civil trial lawyers throughout Maryland. The organization strives to preserve the civil justice system, protect consumers, and provide development opportunities for attorneys throughout the state through legislative advocacy.
About David A. Muncy’s work with MAJ
David Muncy is an active member of MAJ, serving in every elected leadership position within the organization: Parliamentarian (2018), Treasurer (2019), and Secretary (2020) – the youngest lawyer in Maryland to ever be elected to an Officer position. Mr. Muncy also sits on its Board of Governors, and formerly was the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, the Membership Committee, and the Auto Negligence Section.
Mr. Muncy has also been recognized by MAJ for his work on behalf of the organization. He was awarded the Maryland Association for Justice Outstanding Service Award in 2019, and the Section of the Year award for his leadership of the New Lawyer’s Section in 2016.
Along with his work for MAJ, Mr. Muncy is also an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the formerly was the Co-Chair of the Howard County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division. He has testified before the Maryland General Assembly on bills that affect the rights of the injured. He has also earned numerous accolades for his work on behalf of the injured, including:
