Congratulations, Bruce Plaxen and David Muncy, for Being Selected by Super Lawyers Again
Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. is proud to announce that firm founder Bruce Plaxen has been named to the Maryland Super Lawyers list for 2018. This is his 12th consecutive year being included on the list. We are also proud to announce that David Muncy, the firm’s newest partner, has been named to the 2018 Maryland Rising Stars list. This is his second consecutive year being named a Rising Star.
What does it mean to be named to Super Lawyers?
Super Lawyers provides potential clients with a number of resources when they need legal counsel, including a comprehensive database of profiles of attorneys who have been selected for inclusion. Primarily, however, “Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The patented selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.”
Only lawyers who have earned a specific level of achievement, and who have undergone their rigorous, multi-phase selection process, will be considered for inclusion. Just because an attorney is selected one year does not mean he or she will be automatically included the next.
Being named to Super Lawyers means that an attorney has passed through the rigorous testing, year after year, and maintained a high level of achievement in his or her work, and is respected by his or her peers. Only 5% of all practicing, eligible attorneys are selected for the list. Only 2.5% of all eligible candidates are named to the Rising Stars list, which includes attorneys under the age of 40, or who have been in practice for fewer than 10 years.
Award winning attorneys fighting for justice
Both Bruce Plaxen and David Muncy are award-winning personal injury attorneys. Bruce Plaxen is a three-time winner of the Wiedemann Wysocki Citation of Excellence, given by the American Association for Justice, and the only two-time winner of the Maryland Association for Justice’s President’s Award. The Daily Record gave him the Leadership in Law Award, and he has been named the Maryland Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Maryland Association for Justice. Last year Bruce received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Association for Justice for his efforts to preserve the Civil Justice System. He maintains perfect client satisfaction scores by Avvo and Martindale, and is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, for the highest level of Professional Excellence. David Muncy was named to “20 in Their 20s” by the Daily Record, and to the “Top 40 under 40” list by the National Trial Lawyers Association.
